Alumni Association Scholarships

Academic Scholarship for Traditional Students

Each year, the Alumni Association awards an academic scholarship that covers the cost of tuition equivalent to 12 credit hours to one junior or senior traditional undergraduate student in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement. Applications are reviewed by a committee comprised of members of the Alumni Association Board. Applications for the upcoming school year are due by March 25. The recipient of the award will be notified by May 1.  The award is issued for one year.  

The scholarship is open to full-time traditional Indiana Tech students if they meet the following qualifications.

  1. Must be entering their junior or senior year and in full-time pursuit of a traditional day baccalaureate degree at the university for the year of application.
  2. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at the time of application.
  3. Have completed at least one full traditional undergraduate academic year at Indiana Tech before applying.
  4. Must have no less than 24 credits remaining to degree completion at the end of the current school year.
  5. Must attend the Alumni Association Annual Meeting on the second Tuesday of November to publicly thank the alumni association members.

Applicant Notes:

  • The Alumni Association Academic Scholarship may be in addition to, replace, or blended with currently offered awards based on athletic eligibility and/or overall need.
  • Students can follow up with the Financial Service Office if uncertain how this award may impact their aid.
  • Student-athletes must consult with their coach as part of the application process.

Family Scholarship for Traditional Students 

The Alumni Association provides a $2000 scholarship for spouses and legal dependents of Indiana Tech alumni who enroll in Indiana Tech’s traditional day undergraduate program as full-time students.

The Alumni Association Scholarship will be awarded under the following conditions:

  • The scholarship applicant has a spouse, parent, or step-parent who has graduated from Indiana Tech.
    • Proof of relationship is required in the form of a marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc. After completing the application form, please use your Indiana Tech email account to send supporting documents to 
  • The student must be registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester as an undergraduate student in the traditional day program at Indiana Tech.
  • The application must be submitted before or during the semester the award is to be credited to the student.
  • If the student participates in athletics, the coach’s approval is required.
  • If approved, the scholarship will be applied yearly as part of the student’s financial aid package as long as the student continues to meet the scholarship criteria.
